Who We Are

Community Futures Peace Liard (CFPL) is a community-driven organization focused on supporting economic growth, entrepreneurship, and business success across rural Northeast BC.

Serving communities throughout the Peace River Regional District and Northern Rockies Regional Municipality, CFPL works alongside local businesses, entrepreneurs, and community partners to help strengthen the regional economy and improve quality of life.

Through business coaching, financing, training, and strategic support, CFPL helps businesses start, grow, adapt, and navigate change in an evolving economic landscape.

As a locally governed, not-for-profit organization, Community Futures is guided by a volunteer board of directors with strong local knowledge and a deep understanding of the opportunities and challenges facing rural communities. This local leadership helps ensure communities remain at the centre of their own economic future.

Our Mission

Our Mission is to work with the existing business community to increase their capacity, to harness the untapped entrepreneurial potential in the Peace Liard Region, and to facilitate the development of a diversified and self-reliant economy for the benefit of all stakeholders in the region.
